From the day that I first met you
All that I could think
Was that we would be together
Yet I couldn't speak

I was too scared to say I love you
Too scarred from my dark past
Eventually you found me
But is didn't last

I've tried so hard to find a reason
Tried so hard to just forget
But the harder that I look
All I find is my regret

Not being honest with myself
With you, with God
Trying to make something
Out of something that it's not

I think I'll love you forever
But then I think I'm over it
I want to always remember
But I want to just forget

That to me first meant nothing
Now it's my life

I'm giving up on you
At least, I wish I could
I'm feeling so small
Lost in the woods

Something keeps me going
Yet something holds me back
I thought Cupid was an angel
But now I'm under Love's attack!

Should I wait for you
Or should I just move on?
Are you even following?
Are you already gone?

Miles away, or holding me tight?
Coming to comfort me in the night?
I want our love to take it's flight
Up to the sky, to Love's pure light

I think I'll love you forever
But then I think I'm over it
I want to always remember
But I want to just forget
