I was taken to a painful place, when all love in me died,
And there I stood, with solemn face, with my mouth opened wide.
To think, that things had come to this, a misery indeed,
To see all goodness come amiss, upon which demons feed.
But I endured, despite my loss, I still breathed in and out,
Yes, I survived my callous cross, to overcome each doubt.
Father, Mother, Brother, too, each heart was borne away,
And now, my own death comes in view, though I prefer to stay.
And should death come to end my strife, on this, my Mother Earth,
God knows my legacy of life and how it's meant to serve.
So even heartaches can't resist, the faith I hold somehow,
The faith of an evangelist, the faith that helps me now.
And should my little heart stop dead, this faith will tell me so,
That greater things still lay ahead, when I, to Heaven, go.
