Love And Loss Poem by Shining Sun

Love And Loss

Rating: 5.0

The moon was my only light
cause I was like an owl
wandering in the night
hearing the dogs growl.

It all changed
when I fell in love
I thought my life was rearranged
cause she was like a dove

It was the only trap
that put my heart in a hell
please let me take a nap
you're a witch who put my life on a spell

Drunken thoughts arising in my mind
kill or die
how can I let go, I'm not blind
at last, I hear myself cry

Stars blinking at my face
resting in the sea shore
forgetting my own craze
asking myself 'can I be happy anymore'

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Fake love, pretentious, may be a short term fling with ulterior motives… poor innocent persons fall prey to such designs. Nice poem, gives a melancholy feeling.. acrid atmosphere.. nice poem.
