Love And Pain - Poem by Ibn Ali

My mind is the graveyard of innocence,
If you only knew the thoughts that plague me,
Cut me, bone deep
Then bathe me
In limes, then let me heal,
Love and pain,
Blood and chocolate,
Feed me then bleed me dry,
The dead cast long shadows,
It's easier to be alive,
Warm feet on marble floors,
The cold could euthanise,
The suede sway easy,
It takes more to endure,
Clean fingers on cotton collars,
It takes more to be more,
Rumpled souls in pressed shirts,
It takes more to judge worth,
Desires overcome the weak,
Fill the plate,
Gorge, till you observe the decor,
So detest the reflection that's seen
