When I first saw you I just knew
I knew right then, I had to have you
Our friendship grew from the start
Because we opened up and shared with our hearts
At lunch, you expressed you was attracted to me
My heart was beating so loud, I was happy as could be
You made me promise, you'd be my first kiss
I thanked God right there for granting me my wish
Best friends, soul mates, partners and lovers
There's so much together that we have yet to discover
Many happy memories we have that we can recall
We can't say we didn't give it our all
I don't regret a single moment with you
Your love is the only thing I believed to be true
You'll always mean the world to me
Just know this will always be
On my knees I continue to pray
Peace and happiness will come your way
Don't be sad or shed a tear
