Me
I'm a free bird ready to fly
Ready to explore the world
Ready for the taste of freedom
The only thing holding me back is love
Love has my heart chained to the ground
Chained so tight that it can barley beat
I am ready to fly
But my heart is ready to burst
I can't fly
Because of you
You are the chain holding my heart captive
You are the chain holding me down
When I am ready to fly
Ready to spread my wings
And fall into the sky
But every time I try to fly
You get a tighter grip on my heart
So please
Let me be free
Let my heart fly
If you love me like you always say
You will
Because me
I'm ready
Ready to be free
But when my wings get tired
And my heart needs love
When I'm ready to land
I will come back to you
Because you are my companion
You are a free bird ready to fly
But you are afraid to fall
So you stay grounded

Because in the end
My heart will only beat to the rythym of your heart
My wings will always rise and fall to the pattern of your breathing
