Love Can Be Replaced Poem by Jacqueline Louw

Love Can Be Replaced

Rating: 5.0

Im standing here crying
looking at you - i felt like dying

You said i was the one, you want me in your life
and that someday you'll make me you wife

But i cant forget
the things you said the other day
of being with someone else and that you asked her to stay

Now you are begging

'Trust me and take my hand
but do it now cause i cant wait'
i don’t understand

the man i thought was my Mr. Right
decided that he is giving up the fight

Taking interest in someone else
pushing me to make a decision on impulse

Just like that our dreams just fade
All the promises we have made

'Its over im moving on' you said
Was my love so easy to forget
to replace it immediately with something else
without regret

Simple & honest. Nothing more said than what you wanted to be read. Thank you for being a voice in the crowd - lending expression of the hurt that gives credance to the quip that 'love is not for the faint of heart'. Don't stop loving: never stop loving. Love loves to love - that's its nature. It's our nature...

Very good poem! It touches me, of how a person can let someone that is speacial go without feeling regret. Love is hard to come by. Like the old saying: 'Seeing Can Be Deceiving' and 'Love Is Blind' I'm giving this a 10!
