Love Denied Poem by Will Adams

Love Denied

Rating: 4.7

From the first day I saw you,
You entered my heart.
I hoped we'd be together,
And never apart.

But that day never came,
And it made me so sad.
I wanted to be with you,
So very bad.

Right now we're in high school,
And I see you so much.
I want to see your warm smile,
And feel your soft, gentle touch.

I want to be yours,
But that cannot be.
You already have someone,
That I can see.

My feelings for you run deep,
Deeper than you see.
All I want,
Is for it to be you and me.

I lie in bed and think about you,
For hours and hours on end.
Wishing I could look,
And see you just around the bend.

Since nothing more can we be,
I hope we can still be friends.
We may end up with something more,
But we won't know until the end.
