So far away yet so close to my heart,
Why must we be so far apart?
When I think of you it brightens my day,
Even though you’re so far away.

Across the sea, and across the land,
Reach out please, and won’t you take my hand.
Think of me and I’ll think of you.
In our hearts our love beats true.

Even though you’re over there,
In my heart I know you care.
Yet here we are so close together
Our love unites us until forever.
