Her beauty was captivating
sweet of heart, flustered
within shades of hazel
searching still luster.
She seemed adrift of the tides
vacant stare of sadness
walking lovelorn shadows
on mystic nights.
She was perfect
the other half of me,
pertinent as sunlight shafts
on a summer breeze.
Late nights talking
turning from passion to pain
passing moments walking
under drizzles of rain.
Her skin, caramel candy brown
eyes of desert sands
Puerto Rican, sultry-always around,
yet often sad.
Still, conversing to steal a smile
with intent of soul
I nourished the broken rose
as she these cries.
Every word from her mouth
poured like diamonds
fire bird rising, skies
elicited love ballads-
crimes of the heart,
and kiss sealed ballades
in the dark.
I stare at moonlit streams
agaze the stills of Autumn
thinking of her tonight
in shades of beauty.
