Love Forever Poem by Samantha White

Love Forever

There is a girl in her teenage years,
Her eyes still dry and free from tears.
In his arms forever she wants to be,
through his lies she just couldn't see.
He said he loved her with all his heart,
She believed he'd never tear her world apart.
But the day finally came where he left a hole,
a hole in her chest from the heart he stole.
She begged and pleaded for him to not go,
what a mistake he was making he'd never know.
Her laughs and smiles turned to cries and tears,
Her silent screams of pain no one hears.
No one knows how much she still cares;
No one knows that in her soul are tears.
Her deep blue eyes now surrounded in black,
She's sinking into darkness from which she can't come back.
Trying to fight against the love she feels,
hoping there's a day where her heart finally heals.
Now it's been years since he said good-bye,
now he's stuck trying to remember why.
He remembers the girl with tear-filled eyes,
as raindrops fall down from the sky.
He knew he'd hurt her then and now,
and that's when he made a dedicated vow.
A vow to never let her go,
a vow to give their love a chance to grow.
When he finally found her and held her tight,
it was then that she knew everything would be all right.
Once again she trusted him with her heart,
But this time he'd never tear he world apart.
Together forever they were meant to be,
it was only with him she felt completely free.
They have a love that forever will last,
and all pains of heartache are in the past.
