How deeply one must love
before the pain of it
matters no longer, claiming
refuge within a perfectly content
heart and mind
Knowing human nature
will folly at the slightest ripple
Causing grief to spread unchecked
rampant through the heart
Desiring what is not, hoping for it to be.
Then waiting, waiting for you to
Begin the adventure with me
Begging silently for your peace
Begging silently for your heart
For mine is given freely, completely
to assure you the bounty of
unconditional love will
always be yours.
