A brief poem David, but completely on the mark. Real love does hurt and it is a very different sort of ache than any other. I loved reading this poem because it reminded me of the first pangs of love I felt in the early stages of my relationship with my hubby. One day I suddenly realized those pains were proof that my feelings for him were deep enough and strong enough to hurt. Thanks for this poem David.
