Love In Paradise Poem by Justin Gildow

Love In Paradise

Many are celebrating love in paradise
As for me, I'm just celebrating my happiness

This summer has brought joy to many people
Including me
While some hold hands and walk along the
boardwalk
Some hit the beach, sitting on a beach blanket
Staring at the sea while their love interests rest
their heads on their shoulders
And I'm living like a nomad this time of the year
Looking every bit like a beach bum

So there's love in paradise
And it's washing over people like an ocean wave
Many are sitting and many are stumbling
Love makes people do crazy things

So it's love in paradise
And I gradually accept that
Even though I'm single
I have no worries or cares
I'm just living like a free spirit
At least for this summer anyway

I'm walking across the bridge sipping
on a CapriSun from my traveling bag
While many travelers are dead locked
in a traffic jam
The feeling of summer is here
It's definitely here
