Love Is... - Poem by Katheryn Foley

Easy, love is a give and a take,
Just as easily the heart is to mend and to break,
A hand to hold,
A vow to make,
A dance to dance,
Young children to wake,
A mother's watchful eye takes part,
Trying to console each of these young hearts,
To warn them of the cruelty of love,
As well as to tell them its as fitting as a glove,
on a cold winters day,
When the birds are far away,
leaving the young to romp and play,
Love is not a myth,
Nor does it not exist,
Love is powerful,
Love is life,
Given a lifetime to hold on,
To one heart, one face one hand,
One body, one soul, one man.
