Love Is All Around Poem by J.B. LeBuert

Love Is All Around

It's in the air
It's in the trees
It takes a pair
It's free to seize

Just step outside
You can smell it
Take a ride
You can't quell it

It's a gentle smile, A furtive glance
A roll of eyes, A touch by chance
It can be a single word, A simple phrase
A sad goodbye, A gift that stays

Don't be frightened or scared
No matter how you've faired
It's quite good to be paired
Then your life can be shared

Don't let me be misunderstood
Alone is good, if you could
Or if you would, then you should
Stay alone for good

Loneliness is feared, which is weird
That we're not wired or geared
To be revered, or likewise jeered
When our other, has disappeared

Love is best when it passes the test
of time, so don't jest
that you've messed
up your prime
time

You can still find new love
It's a thrill, from above
Get your fill, if you will
Then chill your quill
Until, you're rid of
Your free will

Two acting in concert as one
Is a great way to share some fun
Love truly is all around
Consider yourself lucky, when it's found
