Love Is Eternal - Poem by Donald Paul Richardson

Love is Eternal

Love is eternal
So is Hate
If life is a river.
We all paddle
down this twisting stream
With the cargo we've chosen.
We carry
Love, hate, apathy
Or we leave them
on the riverbank & move on.

Be careful when done with love,
So easy for hate to fill the void.
Be careful with hate,
So easy for apathy to jump in.
Once free, beware;
We all love to circle back to the familiar
Take it onboard.
Other times the
Shit just follows you
To the sea

Paddle faster
Dumb ass!
