Slow Learner I Poem by Donald Paul Richardson

Slow Learner I

Rating: 4.5

Slow Learner

I've heard so much of letting go
painful,  but required.

I listened to my friend's advice
Released your hands, one at a time
My empty arms fell to my side.

What no one said, what I didn't know
The worst part now, to turn & go.

Yes, that's when it hits you. And later when your sitting on the couch all by yourself. Impactful poem in few words- -nicely done.
