If love for man, made God make man,
And creatures big and small,
He surely cares for man's life-span,
And responds to his call.
If God is love and love is God,
And God abhors just sin,
His grace and mercy follows rod,
As God wants man to win.
If human love begets children,
And man loves his flesh, bone,
Then love divine that made heaven,
Leaves man never alone.
If love of God came on its own,
And He, in man breathed life,
Our loving God allows no groan
When man is faced by strife.
If love for God and fellowmen
Can rule our mind and heart,
Then, earth becomes almost heaven,
Right from the very start.
If love is one weapon on earth,
That ushers lasting peace,
Then, men in world can taste the mirth
Of after-life, with ease.
