Love Is Ruthless Poem by Hailey Agnew

Love Is Ruthless

I cry over you,
I want you,
I love you,
I need you.

Love is ruthless,
Love is cruel and useless.

If I told you,
It would never be the same,
I already messed things up,
You've obviously changed.

It's not fair,
Why you?
I thought I was over you,
What did I do?

I hate you,
I love you,
I crave you,
I dream you.

Every night,
I see you,
Behind closed eyes,
I wear no disguise.

But only in my dreams,
Could we ever be together,
It's not fair,
I love you now more than ever.

It defies everything life's ever taught me,
Logic is useless.
Love is ruthless.
