Love Life - Poem by Tsani Jones

Love is the root of all evil.
A sad shift carved in the
Sands of time
To leave only ruined, tilled
Piles in its wake.

The pleasure is plied
Only with the cutting
of new grounds,
Old soil,
And half truths...

It holds the sanctity
Of stars,
To glow hot in a moment,
Consume with fury,
And die ignoble, barren,

And forgotten.
