Love Like A Knife Poem by Phillip Anderson Hamilton

Love Like A Knife

Rating: 5.0

I'm not the one that you want, I'm only going to let you down, You said you would give me your heart, I told you I'm only going to break it, Your gaze pierced right through me, I'm sorry that I can't be yours truly, Our time has come and gone, Just like an Autumn breeze, You cried and fell to your knees, I'm sorry these words are so hard to believe, But this life keeps on moving, Quick and simple like a horror movie, But I'm the one holding the knife, And you're the one under the blade, You can split the silence of this nightmare with your beautiful scream, I hope you realize that this isn't a dream, This hurt, This pain that you feel, It has become far too real, Just forget me it's time to let go, I'm leaving you dead and cold.
