Why are you crying Mother
while the sun shines bright in the sky?
Why is your face aglowing
with the tears that have bled from your eyes?
Do you think I could really leave you
so alone as you feel today?
After years of your love that i've cherished
how could I ever go away?
Why are you grieving Mother
when you know I am free from pain?
When all I want is your happiness
so we can both learn to smile again.
My arms are around you Mother
at the dawn of each bright new day
and I know your aware of my presence
