Love Lost Poem by Dereck Gibbs

Love Lost

Rating: 5.0

A black hole
An empty vortex
Devouring my innermost joy
This world so cold
Desolate, a perpetual waste land of emotion
A place where u never alone but always lonely
My world imploding
Pillars of love crumbling
Never was love
A Realization that this foundation was weak
A one way mirror
Only seeing myself never your love
You stare from above
Your pedestal I put you on
Your presence gone I’m forlorn
Regretting your loss
It’s starting to rain again
Drowning in my pain
Flooded by loneliness
Yet still you I miss
