A branch that had lived a long time up in the air above a river
was jarred awake when it fell into the icy water.
tossed up and banged against rocks, it was carried out to a sleepy ocean
yawning, it felt a little poke.
Hello little branch!
Startled, the branch said Hi. Where Am I?
You are in the Ocean. You look cold and scared. would you like a ride?
The little branch asked, Who are you?
I am the Ocean. Glad to meet you!
The little branch deferred, and let Mr Ocean ride her on his long waves.
Mr ocean had a warm feeling. The little branch trusted him so much. She was all
Jagged and covered with bark, but he didn't mention it.
He Gently tossed her up onto a white sandy beach
where she could rest and dry out in the sun.
He fell asleep, his tide went out, and dreamed of friendship.
Awakened with a start, he threw a great jeolous wave at the beach and found Little Branch back on his surface.
'I am sorry Little Branch, I became frightened for a minute, and did not know where you were! '
Little Branch said, ' Ha, Ha, it is now your turn to be frighted. I feel so fresh after a whole day in the sun after a salty bath.'
Little branch rode the waves all day, surfing tubes, and lounging on the gentle rolling back of Mr Ocean, who sun to her this song:
You fell into my river
jagged tree limb
discarded by gravity
Splintered frightened
I welcomed you with
Fresh joyful splashes
To my eager current you deferred
To salty sea I joined you
My Tides
carressed you onto beaches
blissful days
tanned silver under sandy sun
Tempestuous waves
jealously reclaimed you
Pounded, Scoured you
My treasure,
such a transformation
smoothly curved,
soft shimmering skin
You are my One '
Little Branch was happy and asked If she could be Mrs. Branch. Mr Ocean and Mrs Branch exchanged vows. The fishes and sea fans waved in delight. What a splash it made when Mr and Mrs kissed!
Time became timeless. Mrs Branch grew in her beauty. Then one day Mrs. Branch was gone. A driftwood hunter spotted her resting. And picked her up. Startled, screaming.
When Mr Ocean awoke from his slumber, a great wave did not find her back into his rolling waves. Even a great tsunami covered him with nothing but trash and death.
Mr Ocean moaned out a sad song
I reach for your supple form
Grabbed you back
A thousand times
Finding you
In Fervent wait to ride
when We were Each Other
Cursed driftwood hunter
walking a timeless shore
finds Beauty
I find you no more
I splash with no purpose
an Ocean
Empty
