Love Poem For Korea (Regional) Poem by Ronald Chapman

Love Poem For Korea (Regional)

Your skin glows like the cherry blossoms.
Sweet as the white blossoms
in the purest hope of spring.

My heart follows your haegum voice and
Leaps like a Korean hare,
At the whisper of your name.

The evening floats in
On a high oriental turtle-dove wing.

I am comforted by your scarf that
I carry into the twilight of heart beams and
Hold next to my cheek.

I am filled with hope,
That I may dry your tears of soju.

As my nose falls from my coat,
It reminds me of your snow.

In the quiet,
I listen for the last birds chirping of the day.

My heated eyes leaps to your blouse.
I stand in the moonlight for your secret sunshine,
So that we may make as one,

Eyes to eyes, in search of the magnificent white and
mystical love of lovers.
