Sadly, our meetings are very few,
Leaving me crying just for you.
I fear the truth every night and day
Love unrequited is here to stay.
Longing am I to hear your voice
I love you - heaven has made the choice,
Eager to hear your symphony ~
Sing it softly just for me.
Autumn leaves are falling fast,
Trees undressing for winter at last.
Such beautiful mornings are here.
But where are you now my dear?
Feeling that old familiar yearning,
Hands of the clock slowly turning,
And just like a child dreaming alone
I build little sandcastles of my own.
There will never be another you -
There could be no other - it is true!
Your eyes are mesmerizing eyes
And eyes are where true beauty lies.
My life is lonesome each passing hour;
I need you like a bee needs the flower.
You captured this heart ~ but sad to say
Love unrequited is here to stay.
