Love Song - Poem by Nicole Jaimie Carothers

Confused, afraid
Your face haunts my dreams and I
can feel your pain, it stayed
after you went away.
Its wrong
I know
We cannot be together
but the love it shows.
Undeniable in ur eyes
and mine.
hearts stung together by broken twine
so cry
and i'll hold you one last time tonight
while our favorite love song plays
all night.
plays all night.

Dont let go
eat ur cornflakes and your cheerios
i'll starve tonight if you leave right now
insticts tell me to show you how
to love another
to kiss and touch eachother
to be your teacher
and constant lover
are we wrong or are we right
our favorite love song will play all night
play all night.

Confused, afraid
Your face haunts my dreams and I
can feel your pain, it stayed
after you went away.
I miss your eyes
the way they looked
and what they revealed inside.
everything is different now that you've gone away
places, people, new things everyday
the twine is broken and my heart is cold
they wonder why but they'll never know
i act on impulse and spite
i play our favorite love song every night.
it plays all night.
