One tenet of my life goes to proclaim
A love of ardent aspiration for
True knowledge in regards that inner flame
Which everyone, since birth, have always bore;
Our souls sojourned for timeless lengths as naughts,
As neither dead nor born, not extant yet,
While you were still unknown to all my thoughts,
When there was nothing even to forget;
But now, as live incarnate in the flesh,
Which pains in loss and glories in success,
And needs that to the living chain enmesh,
To brave this world which granted an access;
