Love (Valentine's Love Bursted.) Poem by U Win Kyi

On last year Valentine's Day,
My girlfiend and I had happiness many ways.
She asked me buy her a gift,
which cost me all of my salary....so expensive.
We ate candle-lit dinner at posh hotel happily,
as my wallet was filled with much money.

I lost my job this year.
Finding out by her I most feared.
I couldn't afford to spend much money,
about that she got very angry.
Among her friends she felt ' losing face.'
I realized her love was money-based.
Only a year, her love lasted.
Like a bubble it went bursted.
