Love Was All I Had Poem by Chris Majors

Here's a short story of my once upon a time.
Everything was so perfect, Everything felt so right
Then i woke up this morning, and i found a little note
We were a broken record is all she wrote
So i pulled myself together in an attempt to get away
Then i tripped over myself and fell flat on my face

Love was all i had
Never thought she thought she had it so bad
I won't try to do anything that might change her mind
She made her own decision and thats just fine
Although i haven't slept in days, I guess its not that bad
But just now i realized love was all i had! !

Often I'd think back to times i couldn't explain
How when i was without you felt like i was in pain
I used to question every little thing, but now its obvious she didn't feel the same
Now i just wake up every morning, Lie there and stare at the wall
If i don't take a chance then i don't have to worry, and i don't have to fall

Love was all i had
Never thought she thought she had it so bad
I won't try to do anything that might change her mind
She made her own decision and thats just fine
Although i havent slept in days i guess its not that bad
