Loved You Forever Poem by dawn gaydos

Loved You Forever

She can let you leave, still love you true,
She can stop speaking, yet care for you.
She is someone who limits her reach,
But still hopes for the best, still wants to teach.
She walks away, for no choice remains,
Not that she's given up but endures the pain.
She grieves for the 'what if' and the dreams undone,
Yet accepts the present, the battles won.
She loves unconditionally, fierce and kind,
But will not let it disturb her peace of mind.
She holds you close, tucked in her heart,
Yet needs no presence, no constant part.
And who is she, this soul you see?
She is me, she is me.
