Virginia, where the rivers sigh,
And mountains kiss the evening sky,
A gentle breeze, a tender call,
Your love's the sweetest place of all.
The Blue Ridge glows with morning flame,
Each leaf seems whispering your name,
Through fields of green, my heart takes flight,
To find your arms by soft twilight.
Your laughter flows like Shenandoah,
A song that stirs my soul in awe,
And in your gaze, I see the sea,
The endless tide that carries me.
No land more fair, no dream more true,
Than Virginia, when I'm with you;
For every hill, and star above,
Is wrapped in the embrace of love.
