Loves Death Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Loves Death

Rating: 3.8

Thinking about your body close to mine
Remembering back to a different time
Days when we were young lovers new
My first, the same for you

Innocence and virginity in us so easy to percieve
Learning as we went along, so very nieve
Do you remember my boyish gaze
Our first love making in the garden maze

Under the clear blue silken sky
I promised then, never would i make you cry
Time passed on our meandoring love affair
Holding on to each other, joined as a pair

Hours passed to days then into years
All this time our love had no fears
Today tragically I lost the one I love
Taken by the angels somewhere up above

My life is now like an empty bowl
When we are together again, then I will be whole
Wait for me close to Edens gate
I'll try not to be too late

Then eternity will call upon us both
This is when, once more i pledge thee my troth
