All my life I have searched for you, everywhere
Across the oceans of my untrammelled mind
And all my life I have prayed for you, somewhere
Dreaming, always hoping I would find
The special one, to take me from despair......
Into a world which frees my troubled mind.

You smile and welcome me with soft a kiss,
A smile I think I know so very well
And caught between sleeps waking hour of bliss
The cold grey morning breaks that magic spell.
Your arms stretch out and welcome my embrace
I tremble at your touch...and kiss your face.

I see that smile, it seems so long ago
It drew me to your arms, and to your heart
It calls me back a thousand times a day
And gives me strength and comfort while apart.
It tells me everything I need to know
That love has come to stay, and love will grow.

Love is why I sought you in the first place
And love always the reason, you must know
For love was all I ever hoped to find here
True love is still the only dream I know.
