Loving A Soldier Is Like Believing In Ghosts

Rating: 5.0

Loving a soldier is like believing in ghosts
you know he’s out there somewhere
but you can’t feel him and you can’t see him.

The worst part is knowing
he wont be getting a hero's welcome home
like you've always planned in your head.

It's like running a race with no finish line
or fighting a war with no battlefield
or trying to count the stars in the sky.

Loving a soldier is like believing in ghosts,
you know he's out there somewhere,
but you can't feel him and you aren't allowed to see him.
