Loving me
Learning to live outside my head
Accepting the world for what it is
Realising I'm different
I'm special
And there's nothing wrong with exploring
Even if it means crossing some boundaries once in a while

Waking up in the morning
Rushing to the mirror
Falling in love with the person I am
Brushing my teeth
Letting the fresh air fill my lungs in the morning
I know there's more for me
I could stare at the mirror all day
I love me
How I smile
How I carry myself
I know I'm not innocent
I know I'm crazy
Sometimes lazy
But you know what?
I'm kind
I'm positive
My energy is pure
My smile mends the broken
I remember one of my teachers said
I'm always smiling
Because every morning
I used to greet everyone with a smile
No matter how heavy my heart felt
I mean nobody can really tell how you feel
Laughing my lungs out
But yet hurting inside
Crazy right?
But that's what we do

Reasons
Seasons
Held on to many people
Till I realised some were there only for some certain seasons
And foolish me I wanted them to stick around long enough
But now I'm glad they're not around anymore
It took me a while to understand this
Same as meeting a stranger for the first time
You share a smile or two
Then you never see them again
Funny right?
But yeah it happen
How strange
Imagine meeting a man
He shares his whole life story with you
You wonder if is this real?
You ask yourself why are they telling me?
You hang out
He makes you laugh till you can't breathe
You ask yourself is this gonna last forever?
Then you remember there's no such thing as forever
Luckily both of you don't believe in such
They hold your hand
And you feel the world at your fingertips
You hug them
And the world spins around
They make you feel safe
You consider them as your safe place
Time flies
Late nights chatts about life
And random things
You both have something in common
He writes you poems in the morning
You wake up with a big smile
You wonder if life could be this beautiful
Lovely right?
You feel sad, they come around just to warm your heart up
They do everything to make you happy
Taking pictures
Laughing out loud
Creating memories
Special names to use
Stupid enough
Almost gets matching tattoos
How foolish
It's a crazy world we live in
The most unexpected happens
When you least expect it
You wonder do such people exist?
Only to realise that was a season
Happened for a reason
Learned one thing or two
You wake up one day
And its all gone
All that's left pictures
And memories
Yeah only memories
Maybe life is all about learning
Learning to appreciate
Learning to let go
Learning to be happy
Learning to hold on
Learning to love with an open heart..

You fall in love with a stranger you came across by the road
And you never see them again
Your heart hurts a little bit
And you tell yourself
They don't know you
And you don't know them either
You learn to love yourself
You get so obsessed with who you are
To the point where it's hard to let somebody love you
You feel like you can love yourself better
Scared of getting hurt?
Ohh yes you are, stop denying it
Remember the guy you met the other day?
Ohh yes, he said just because your heart got scratched a lil now you're scared to love

You can't bury yourself in the past
You can't dwell on what could've been?
You were hurt
You were broken
It's okay
You're not as strong as you think you are
Let it all go
It's time to start afresh
Let all that energy go
Not me searching his name
Listening to some music video he posted
Ohh yeah you were the one recording it
How cute
You quickly exit it
Because of what?
You wonder if he still loves you?
You wonder if he unravels someone else's body
Like he did with yours
You wonder if they think of you
In times like these
In the depth of the night
When the quietness freezes your soul

You beats yourself up
Stop it
It's okay to grieve
It's okay to cry when the pain kicks in
Cry it all out
Once you're done
Never cry for them again
You loved them enough
I know you still care
Sometimes you loved them more than you loved yourself
It's okay
It's over now
It's time to heal
You don't think of them more often as before
That's a great start
You don't dream of them anymore
That's better
Your heart no longer hurts when someone says their name
That's even better
I'm proud of you
