Loving You Poem by Liza Mahlubi

Loving You

Rating: 5.0

Your voice had essence
It was like a melody
The sound of fine tune on the strings
playing the waterfall.

Your charm gave you away
the first time I saw you
Your calmness had presence
Your loud laughter made me laugh
I was drawn to your kindness and subtle handsomeness
Loved your knowledge and understanding of your existence
Caring spirit of others.

Standing next to you was not enough
I wanted more of your heart
I wanted to hold and love the man in you
Trying to ignore you was not a choice
But an almost well guarded move
Despite all that...I fell inlove with you.

With all the odds against us
You were still lovingly and willing
to take the journey with me
But I soon realise the reality is painful
I wanted you....
And you wanted someone else in your arms
Despite the affirmation of loving me.
