Lucky Buddah Poem by grace mariner

Lucky Buddah

Rating: 5.0

Little stripedy cats are not meant to stay
nor meant to wander and roam.
They come and they go in the blink of an eye
then the Spirit calls them home.

They perch atop the highest cliff
to survey their domain.
It holds no countenance over them,
they know they can't remain.

They know their time with us is short
and so they do their part
to quickly use their stripedy ways
to infiltrate our heart.

Those stripes so classic and unique
from tip of ear to tail,
restrain within the lions heart
like bars inside a jail.

So love them often, love them well
right from the very start.
Those stripes cannot contain the love,
it's loss will break your heart.
