Lucky Little Girl Poem by Marilyn Lott

Lucky Little Girl

Rating: 5.0

I saw this baby’s closet
Three months before her time
I asked myself what in the world
For a present I could find

For the pink outfits were lined up
Thick across the closet bar
I shook my head in wonderment
She had everything so far

How lucky for this little girl
Her family loves her so
Her grandma Sally would baby-sit
As to work her mom will go

A doting grandma I know for sure
This charming lady will be
To see her through so many things
She’s strong and sturdy as a tree

But you know, it doesn’t matter
What I buy for this little girl
With loving family she’ll be ready
To give her life a whirl!
