Lullaby For A Lonely One Poem by Andrea Rieck

Lullaby For A Lonely One

Rating: 5.0

Silence
No prayers
No songs
No voices

The sun goes down and memories begin
The words I still hear
If I close my eyes
Silence is all that’s left behind

Why do the voices sing no more?
Forgotten now, alone
I yearn to hear your words
If only for one moment
Sing it one last time
Our sweet lullaby

Midnight
A long lost moment
The long lost words
A long lost kiss

A gentle touch
A Warm, soft voice
Don’t want to open my eyes
Memories, save me tonight!

Why do the voices sing no more?
Forgotten, abandoned, alone
I only wish to hear your words
If only for one moment
Just sing it one last time
Our sweet lullaby

I don’t care where you are
Come to me, once more
You told me we’d always be one
Don’t lose to death, be strong
Come to me
Tell me now that you didn’t want to leave
Tell me now that it wasn’t my fault
Don’t lose to death, be strong

Your voice! …If only you could stay
Forgotten, alone we will remain
I remember the words of our everyday
If only for this moment
Sing it one last time
A lullaby, for a lonely one

i like that line..'The sun goes down and the memories begin' i love it...and while the sun left you...it came to me..in the other side of the world...while you dreamed...i borrowed the song...and you may wonder why there is silence..the lullaby that will keep me away...from being lonely
