Lunch With Ann Poem by Marilyn Lott

Lunch With Ann

I had lunch with Ann the other day
And we had such a special visit
We ate at a unique restaurant
It was really quite exquisite

Chicken Fry House it was called
Cut-outs of old antique cars
An antique police car as well
And we didn’t have to drive too far

But on the way home we went
Across a damp bridge in the rain
We were on old Highway 66
We’ll be sure to go back again

Stopped at a wonderful park
There was a pond for ducks to swim
We saw a mother and her babies
Our day was filled up to the brim

There are so many wonderful things
One can do in a few hours span
And this was really a special day
Having a delicious lunch with Ann!
