Lust Poem by Johnathon Brisby

Lust

So prone to lust are those misunderstood.
No need to pity them now, they know what thoughts are directed at them.
Forgiveness is not necessary nor is it or should it be expected from the victims of such a beautiful crime.
An offer for knowledge of reasons, of why and how could you?
Just a moment of weakness I think not, nor was it a mistake; tales of weak and cowardly soul.
This was a love so powerful that it could not be controlled by either recipient.
Like the star that shines brightest, was this fleeting moment in emotion and passion of such unparalleled brilliance.
A bright flame of passion burning and using only the moments’ actions to feed and grow and shine ever brighter!
Only to leave a mark so unnoticed one would wonder if it ever happened at all.
Leaving a damaged, cold and lonely entity.
Never will there truly be a regret for such actions, if feelings were true.
So, knowing that we would all become as the lonely white dwarf, drifting till eternity, in an abyss of only possibilities.
Would you give up the chance to shine as bright?
