Lysanthus (I Die Today) Poem by Juanita Cotejar

Lysanthus (I Die Today)

Rating: 5.0

LYSANTHUS
(I Die Today)

A loss in life would show
a trace of what it seem
Like flower has to grow
withered and not a gleam

I lay you now to rest
your soul to find its peace
To leave to you the best
this heart and mind has please

Goodbye to you my son...
my love will always shine
Though you never understand
this death you chose not mine

You are my Lysanthus
full bloom with baby bud
Stabled look as it last
But how you make me sad.
