The trees liven to dance with you around
How they curve
Mocking your body
Blazing on fire,
reincarnating the passion within your eyes.
How I’ve only seen it once or twice
Drunk in the pool hall
Underground where we belong
Tortured with compassions long arms that tap me on the wrong shoulder
Dragging my eyes never towards the women I should.
You were there the whole time
I’ve seen your rage
Your tears before
How much would you have sunken into my arms and arose with a smile.
I remember the first conversation we had
I passed a question along your path
And you responded that love is all you wanted
For life, someone to love
I should have grabbed you then
Embraced you with all the love I had to give
And just waited for you to see through…
Just enough,
Just enough till you moved on
Till you walked away
And searched for love again
But every road ends the same,
Unless you change with them
