Majnoon Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Majnoon

Majnoon

Many see this as name
I sure am, different.

I see it as a word
Arabic, in the mould.
Jonoon word; meant the
“Mind Disease, maybe craze, ”

I ignored the novel
So did with the poem
Though lovely, either one.

The man was full of love
He was sent to exile.

In desert every dune
Turned mirror to Majnoon
Inside them was Leila
Virtual he could not have/touch her.
Regardless of day, night
And mirror, sun, pathways.

Crazy and insane
Became the young lover
That became lonely name.
