Make Love To Me I Ask, Beg, Poem by Lorene Kinsey

Make Love To Me I Ask, Beg,

Make love to me I ask, beg,
melt into me, let me feel your skin
Watch you watching me, eyes
Fixed on mine, it has been too long
Since I made love, since I felt complete
And from the moment we parted
I feared the morning after, the regret,
Loneliness, but I did not feel any of these,
Relief, the voice of my lover,
Talking, laughing, quiet joy in his throat,
Unspoken, yet clear to me.
I still feel my emotions are reserved
And it is as it should be, cautious, cool,
Not calculated or cold, just careful,
I love my life with you in it.
