Makes Sense Poem by Ray Hansell

Makes Sense

She's feeling very angry
Upset and all alone
She shares with him a house
But says, it doesn't feel like home

Words of love are never spoken
Faces never smile
Laughter that once echoed loud
Now, is only heard once in a while

The warmth and happiness
Has all but disappeared
The happy hearts that use to laugh
Are hearts now filled with tears

She's known for a long time
That love has left her home
She wonders just what happened
She thought love was home grown

But it seemed the more she tried
The less she understood
She always felt that in her heart
That she was always good

But now she's come to realize
That what use to be, is no more
The only thing that makes sense
Is for her to walk out the door
