Makeup Poem by Payyton Egerstaffer

Makeup

Rating: 3.5

Makeup hides her feelings
Makeup hides her face
So many layers of makeup
Her true colors can't be traced

Feelings build up inside her
She's ready to explode
She wants someone to talk to
But no one sees her load

So she washes away the makeup
And shows her colors true
She sees that someone cares for her
And makes her feel anew

Wonderful concept. I think you could really develop this poem. Your first stanza was enough to enrapture a guy who just got done working on his car ;) . Obviously I've never worn make-up but the imagery was perfect and as far as I know, unexplored. This one deserves another draft. I love it.
