Making A Move Poem by Melissa Blackmon Bella

Making A Move

Making A Move

He sits and I wonder
should I, or
could I?
I stay perfectly still
not knowing
what to do.
If I could and it works
is it really
what I want.
He is everything
I want and some things
I don’t.
Should I move and become
wrong
or should I refrain and stay
hungry?
If I move, I would have at least
tasted
what may have been wasted.
I have thought
to myself
long enough.
I wish he would
come and
fill my cup.
That’s it, it is
time to move.
Hello, I said
to him as
my mouth began
to drool…

(stay tuned for part 2)

Making A Move (part 2)

I tried to tame the
thoughts of my
mind. It did not
work.
Hello, back he said
to me.
There was two and now there’s
three.
Yes
we have got it
together.
If only our love
would have lasted
forever.
I wish I could have
kept him and he
could be
all mine.
But only wine manages
to get better with time.
Yes
I am glad I took the
chance.
I was always the leader
of our dance.
Now that I have
eaten the best
I am quite ready
for the rest.
